The understanding of the science and practice of adult learning, andragogy promotes self-motivated education and veers the bastion of learning from the helm of the teachers to the hands of the students. With research instruction focused on pedagogy which is a teacher-centered approach, how can educators be acquainted with andragogy in the teaching of research; an alternative model which promotes a learner-focused education?

Aimed to capacitate every teacher in research instruction, the Asian Society of Teachers Inc. invites you to its first Training-Workshop for 2018, the Training Workshop on the Andragogical Approach in the Teaching of Research on February 8-10, 2018 at The Dynasty Court Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING-WORKSHOP:

1. To differentiate pedagogy from andragogy in the teaching of research;
2. To transform the teaching method from teacher-focused to student-focused;
3. To apply andragogy in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods studies; and
4. To utilize global trends in the teaching of research.

CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT DETAILS:

• Registration Fee of the Training-Workshop is at 6000 pesos which is inclusive of two-day lunches, am and pm snacks, training materials, and certificates, among others. The participants are reminded that the Training-Workshop is in LIVE-OUT arrangement and thus, the hotel accommodation during the TrainingWorkshop will be shouldered by the participating individual.
