5th International Conference on Development Education 2026 (ICDE 2026)
May 8-10, 2026
Philippine School Doha, Doha, Qatar
Conference Theme: “Shaping Sustainable Futures: Leveraging Development Education and Technology for the SDGs”
With the global community standing at a critical juncture, the achievement of the Agenda for Sustainable Development hinges on the synergistic leveraging of two essential pillars: Development Education which serves as the moral compass and cognitive foundation, and Technology which acts as the decisive accelerator, furnishing the capacity to achieve scale, efficiency, and intelligence necessary to translate these visions into tangible outcomes. Moving beyond traditional pedagogy, development education transcends literacy and numeracy by cultivating critical thinking necessary to promote sustainability. Technology, on the other hand, offers a transformative power with scalable, efficient digital tools required for regenerative futures. By prioritizing investment in both values-based education and equitable access to innovative digital tools, the global community can effectively mitigate the inherent risks of rapid digitalization and unlock the profound synergy needed to shape a truly sustainable and equitable future for all.
Acknowledging development education and technology as interdependent components towards sustainability, the Asian Society of Teachers for Research, Inc. in cooperation with the Philippine School Doha invite researchers, scholars and educators to the 5th International Conference on Development Education (ICDE 2026) on May 8-10, 2026 at one of the Gulf’s dynamic city, Doha, Qatar!
