Training-Workshop on Advanced AI-Assisted Research Teaching, Thesis Advising, and Paneling: From Research Conceptualization to Conference Presentation and High-Impact Journal Publication
December 1-3, 2026
Cevio Tacloban, Tacloban City, Philippines
Challenging assumptions, illuminating realities, and transforming societies, research has always been humanity's organized refusal to remain ignorant. In a contemporary academic landscape which is increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, the traditional ways of teaching, supervising, and evaluating research are being fundamentally reconsidered. Advanced AI-assisted research teaching offers opportunities to integrate intelligent literature discovery, critical appraisal, reference management, methodological planning, data analysis, and academic writing into a coherent learning experience. Thesis advising, on the other hand, transforms from the supervision of academic compliance into the mentorship of emerging scholars. Through the assistance of Generative AI, likewise, modern day research paneling can effectively identify inconsistencies, suggest methodological alternatives, or reveal potential weaknesses, while determining the contextual significance, intellectual originality, or societal relevance of a scholarly contribution. In an era when artificial intelligence can produce polished narratives, plausible references, elaborate statistical interpretations, and seemingly persuasive theoretical arguments, how can one become a research teacher, thesis adviser and defense panelist who guides students to produce ethical scholarly work worthy of international conference presentation and high-impact journal publication?
Empowering researchers with advanced research competencies in response to emerging trends and innovations in scholarly inquiry, the Asian Society of Teachers for Research, Inc. and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Leyte Campus invite you to the Training-Workshop on Advanced AI-Assisted Research Teaching, Thesis Advising, and Paneling: From Research Conceptualization to Conference Presentation and High-Impact Journal Publication on December 1-3, 2026 (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) at the Cevio Tacloban, Tacloban City, Philippines.
