Promoting the responsible and ethical use of Generative AI in the research process, the Asian Society of Teachers for Research, Inc. hosts the Training-Workshop on AI-Assisted Scientific Writing and Prompt Engineering for Publishable Quantitative and Qualitative Research Outputs in High-Impact Journals on September 14-16, 2026 at the Castle Peak Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines with our resource speakers Dr. Alexander S. Acosta of the Philippine School Doha and Dr. Imee C. Acosta of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts Qatar.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING-WORKSHOP:

1. To develop effective prompting techniques to maximize the ethical and strategic use of Generative AI in scientific research and writing;
2. To apply AI-assisted scientific writing strategies to produce clear, rigorous, and publishable quantitative and qualitative research manuscripts;
3. To evaluate and refine AI-generated research outputs to ensure accuracy, research integrity, and compliance with the standards of high-impact journals; and
4. To prepare publication-ready manuscripts that align with the editorial and reporting requirements of high-impact international journals.

• Registration Fee of the Training-Workshop is at 6,500.00 PHP which is inclusive of two-day lunches, am and pm snacks, training materials, registration ids and certificates, among others. The participants are reminded that the Training-Workshop is in LIVEOUT arrangement and thus, the hotel accommodation during the Training-Workshop will be shouldered by the participating individual.
• A LIST OF RECOMMENDED HOTELS will be issued as guidance to the participants reflecting the hotel address and contact information, estimated rate per night, and proximity to the hotel venue.

A prolific author, researcher and speaker, among others, Dr. Acosta's numerous endeavors reflects her penchant to research specifically the qualitative kind. Currently, an Adjunct Instructor of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts, her paper on the effects of workplace abuses of migrant workers was published by WIEGO and awarded the Best Manuscript in the International Conference in Business and Social Sciences 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.
