INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOLARLY PUBLISHERS, EDITORS AND REVIEWERS, INC.
February 26-28, 2026
Castle Peak Hotel, Cebu City
The International Association of Scholarly Publishers, Editors and Reviewers (IASPER) with the SEC Registration No. CN201433407 is inviting you to participate in the Training-Workshop on Designing Ethical Research Methodology on February 26-28, 2026 at Castle Peak Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines.
RATIONALE
Ethical rigor is not an “add-on” to research—it is foundational to methodological soundness, participant protection, and scholarly credibility. Many faculty members are tasked not only with conducting research but also with mentoring students and evaluating proposals, often without formal training in ethics integration, ethics review processes, and institutional ethics structures.
This training equips faculty members, researchers, and research advisers with the conceptual grounding, practical tools, and institutional perspectives necessary to design, review, and teach research that is ethically responsible, methodologically sound, and compliant with national and international standards.
The training objectives are to:
- Explain core principles of research ethics and their relevance to sound research methodology.
- Integrate ethical considerations into the design and conduct of research, including consent, participant protection, and data management.
- Identify research requiring ethics review and distinguish between exempt, expedited, and full review processes.
- Evaluate research proposals ethically, including ethics protocols and responses to review feedback.
- Apply ethical frameworks in teaching and mentoring research and in strengthening institutional research ethics practices.
