The International Association of Scholarly Publishers, Editors and Reviewers (IASPER) with the SEC Registration No. CN201433407 is inviting you to participate in the Webinar on Scoping Review: Methods, Approaches, and Steps for Research Literature Synthesis on September 26-28, 2024 via ZOOM Video Teleconferencing.

RATIONALE

A scoping review is a type of literature review that aims to map the key concepts, types of evidence, and gaps in research on a particular topic through systematic searching, selection, and synthesis of existing knowledge. The demands for conducting scoping reviews are increasing due to their crucial role in understanding the breadth and depth of research, identifying gaps, and informing future research directions.

This webinar is designed to equip academic professionals, particularly university and college faculty, with the essential skills and knowledge to conduct comprehensive scoping reviews. Given the growing importance of systematic literature reviews in academic research, this training aims to demystify the scoping review process, from formulating research questions and developing effective search strategies to synthesizing data and presenting findings. By the end of the webinar, participants will be adept at applying these techniques to enhance their research projects, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Understand the Fundamentals of Scoping Reviews. Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of what scoping reviews are, including their purpose and how they differ from other types of literature reviews.
  2. Learn Methodological Approaches. Introduce various methodological frameworks and guidelines used in conducting scoping reviews, ensuring participants can select the appropriate approach for their research.
  3. Develop Effective Search Strategies. Equip participants with the skills to develop and implement effective search strategies for identifying relevant literature using academic databases and research tools.
  4. Master Data Extraction and Synthesis. Train participants on techniques for data extraction, organization, and synthesis, enabling them to systematically chart and analyze data for their scoping reviews.
  5. Report and Present Findings. Guide participants on how to report and present the findings of a scoping review clearly and systematically, with a focus on writing for academic publications and presentations.
